Despite his youthful energy, Hamish brings a wealth of experience from both private and government sectors, boasting over six years of diverse expertise that fuels our organisation's operations.

Hamish's journey began in 2019 when he launched our enterprise under the trading name HSS Earthworks. It didn't take long for Hamish to recognise the immense potential and broader horizons that lay ahead. Thus, in late 2021, EDALS Group emerged as a testament to Hamish's foresight and ambition.

As our organisation continues to scale new heights, Hamish remains the driving force behind our unparalleled service. With his leadership, we pledge to maintain our unwavering commitment to excellence and continue providing the exceptional service that has become synonymous with EDALS Group. An integral part of our executive team Shirley is a seasoned executive with an impressive track record spanning over three decades. 

As a dynamic Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Shirley seamlessly melds her profound expertise in Finance, Human Resources, and Business Operations to drive transformative results for EDALS.

Shirley is more than just a member of our leadership team; she is the bedrock upon which our success is built. Her unwavering dedication to our organisation's prosperity is unparalleled, as she provides invaluable insights and guidance to every facet of our operations and staff.

With a career marked by visionary leadership, strategic acumen, and a deep commitment to fostering growth, Shirley is the driving force behind EDALS' financial prowess and operational excellence.

NOTE: As our CFO and Acting COO, Shirley is second in charge of all company operations. Should our CEO become unavailable, Shirley will automatically assume the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer.

Chief of Staff

We are pleased to introduce our new Chief of Staff, a strategic thinker dedicated to achieving the best results for our executive team. Functioning in a capacity comparable to that of a Chief Operating Officer, this role is central to the seamless management of our organisation’s operations and strategic priorities. 

With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of organisational dynamics, our Chief of Staff has excelled in managing all staffing matters within the Office of the Chief Executive Officer.

In recognition of the critical nature of this position, the Chief of Staff is also authorised to automatically assume the responsibilities of Chief Executive Officer should both the CEO and COO be unavailable, ensuring leadership continuity and operational stability at all times. 

By fostering a collaborative environment and streamlining processes, our new Chief of Staff will enable the executive team to remain focused on high-level strategic initiatives, driving our organisation towards its goals with precision and efficiency.

With a depth of experience in shaping narratives, managing reputational risk, and aligning communications with organisational priorities, they bring a steady hand to the helm of one of our most critical portfolios. Their ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and foster meaningful relationships ensures our voice remains clear, consistent, and connected to the communities we serve.

As Acting Executive Director, they will lead with purpose and precision—advancing our engagement strategies, strengthening consumer trust, and reinforcing our organisation’s commitment to inclusive and responsive communications at every level.

Chief of Legal

At EDALS Group, the Chief of Legal is more than a legal advisor — they are the heartbeat of our organisation’s integrity. This executive role is entrusted with overseeing all legal, compliance, risk, and governance matters, ensuring every decision we make is built on trust, accountability, and long-term sustainability.

Working closely with the CEO and executive team, the Chief of Legal provides clear and compassionate guidance through complex legal landscapes. From contract negotiations to crisis response, from regulatory frameworks to internal policy development — they are the calm in the storm, the protector of our people, and the guardian of our reputation.

This role is instrumental in shaping how we grow, how we operate, and how we stand by our values — because at EDALS Group, doing the right thing is never optional.
